Cameron Park Zoo Amphibian Conservation Scholarship
The Cameron Park Zoo Amphibian Conservation Scholarship was established by ZCOG and Cameron Park Zoo in recognition of the growing threat of extinction faced by many amphibian species native to the Americas. The scholarship promotes professional training in amphibian biology, conservation, and captive management for zoo and aquarium colleagues from countries in Latin America and the Caribbean Basin. Award recipients receive full funding to participate in the Association of Zoos and Aquariums’ (AZA) Amphibian Taxon Advisory Group (ATAG) Amphibian Management School--a week-long training course that is held at the Detroit Zoo’s National Amphibian Conservation Center in Royal Oak, Michigan.
The Cameron Park Zoo of Waco, Texas provides funding for this annual scholarship award.
